Friday we had a school wide dress-down day. We have an ongoing partnership with a local church to provide food for refugees from other countries. Once a month we take up food and then one of the grades goes for a service project day and helps to distribute food to the refugees. The kids who bring food get to wear whatever they want to school that day. In kindergarten this freedom becomes an adventure, with little girls basically dressing as ballerinas and little boys looking very "accessorized". On Friday I went to Kendall's room to help read to some of the kids during their center period and we decided to take some pictures.
