Car Ride In Ankara

Riding in a car in Ankara is a different experience. It is a lawless land by American standards. People do what they need to do in order to get places. If that means turning left across 4 lanes of traffic from a right hand lane, so be it. I wanted to capture the madness of our drive home from a local store. Unfortunately, this was the tamest ride I've been on yet (of course that would happen). I will try to get another one of rush hour. That is something you have to see.

We'll have another big post with some writing and update everyone with what is going on here. We have a ton on our plates at the moment and will be back to it shortly. Here are some shots of the delicious food that we get to eat regularly. Turkish food is oh so cheap and oh so tasty.

Salad, onions, yogurt (more like sour cream), bulgar (like rice), and then an assortment of spicy dips.

Kepabs (kapobs), pide (sort of like pizzas), and other dishes all come wish fresh grilled veggies.

Our table after doing some work.

These are divinely inspired morsels of goodness that taste like hot cookie dough. It is served with ice cream and could possibly hold the key to world peace. It's good ya'll.

Cya!
